Class A Surface

A “Class-A” surface carved from a block of polyurethane prototyping foam. The 4”x3”x2” block was worked into a smooth, contoured object.

The object was then coated in self-leveling epoxy resin and rotated for 3 hours. The object was repeatedly sprayed with primer and sanded until minor imperfections were concealed. Finally, several layers of automotive-grade metallic red paint were applied and the object was polished.
